Background and Challenge

Circus is an iconic event venue and restaurant located in the heart of Djurgården in Stockholm. With over 130 years of history, it serves as a vibrant meeting place where culture, entertainment, and gastronomy merge into unforgettable experiences. Originally built as a circus arena in the early 1900s, it has evolved into a modern stage for shows, concerts, and private events, while preserving its charming, historical atmosphere.

Circus needed a new, contemporary website that meets their needs according to today's demands for speed, mobile usage, or conversion. Their new website is built in Payload CMS and headless to optimize speed and navigation. The project also included UX/UI design, migration, frontend development, and SEO.

Solution

We initiated the collaboration with a comprehensive preliminary study to create the right conditions for Circus's digital future. By analyzing the existing site, user behaviors, content structure, and technical needs, we could define a long-term strategy for the next steps. The focus was not only on modernizing cirkus.se but on laying the foundation for a complete digital platform and architecture that can evolve over time. The preliminary study thus became an important starting point for the continued work that Pigment now leads together with Circus.

Thanks to global caching and optimized code, the site now loads lightning-fast on all devices. The result is a digital arena that feels as vibrant as the physical one – and that provides significantly more direct bookings and better organic reach.
