Background and Challenge

Cinema Fågel Blå is a restored cinema from 1926 focusing on film screenings, bar, and bistro. They needed a website that recreates the luxury and culture of the 1920s while offering seamless ticket booking, but the old site lacked responsiveness and authentic atmosphere.

Solution

We began by mapping the cinema's history and visitor needs to capture the right feel. Then a new UX/UI design was developed with a sober color palette and fonts reflecting the character of the 1920s. The site was built responsive for optimal experience on all devices, with integration for ticket booking where visitors easily choose films, seats, and time. By prioritizing visual storytelling and easy navigation, the site became a digital extension of the cinema's charm. The result is a modern platform with an authentic 1920s feel that facilitates booking and attracts visitors to both film and bistro.
