Background and Challenge

RFSU needed a modern and long-term sustainable digital platform that could support the entire organization's mission, from knowledge and advocacy to products and digital services. The site should make it easy for a broad audience to find the right information, whether the need was for information, guidance, or products related to sexual health.

The challenge was to gather many different needs into one solution. The platform needed to be accessible, inclusive, and easy to navigate, while also being able to develop over time. There was also a need to create a clearer structure between knowledge content, e-commerce, and interactive tools – and to build a digital whole that could support RFSU's work both today and in the long term.

Solution

Since 2017, Pigment has been a digital partner to RFSU in a long-term collaboration. The work began with developing a new modern website where UX and UI design, frontend development, API integrations, and e-commerce were central parts of the delivery. The result was a stable and flexible platform that made it easier for RFSU to communicate its offerings and meet users' different needs.

The collaboration has since continued to develop over time, with new features and services that enhance both the user experience and RFSU's digital presence. Among other things, we have built an ovulation calendar integrated on the site, where the user can get a personal overview of their fertile days based on their menstrual cycle.
