Background and Challenge

The Swedish Budo & Martial Arts Federation is a central force in Swedish martial arts, bringing together 28 sports, around 800 associations, and approximately 60,000 members across the country. It is a large and multifaceted operation, where the administration of competition cards, sanctions, and events needs to function smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

For a long time, many of these processes were handled manually, with Excel files, documents, and administrative tasks that took up a lot of time. When large amounts of information also needed to be managed correctly, traceably, and according to modern security requirements, it became clear that the working method was no longer sustainable. The federation needed a digital solution that could reduce the administrative burden, simplify daily operations, and create a safer experience for everyone involved.

Solution

We developed a tailored WordPress platform that gathers the federation's most important administrative flows into a modern and user-friendly solution. With Freja eID for secure identification and a personal My Account, competition cards could be digitized and replace the physical alternatives. Sanction applications were also moved online, and through integration with Swedbank Pay, a smooth and secure payment flow was created.

The new platform allows information to be securely managed between organizers, doctors, and administrators, while statistics are collected automatically and the risk of lost documents is minimized. Together with Pigment, the federation has taken a big step towards more efficient digital administration. With a modern website and a solution that relieves the organization, strengthens security, and provides members and visitors with a safe, smooth, and seamless experience.
