Background and challenge

Svenska Budo & Kampsportsförbundet plays a central role in Swedish martial arts, bringing together 28 sports, around 800 clubs and some 60,000 members nationwide. With such a large and diverse organisation, the administration of competition cards, event approvals and events needs to run smoothly, securely and efficiently.

For years, many of these processes were handled manually, using Excel spreadsheets, documents and time-consuming administrative tasks. With large volumes of information to manage accurately, traceably and in line with modern security requirements, it became clear that this approach was no longer sustainable. The federation needed a digital solution to reduce the administrative burden, simplify day-to-day work and give everyone involved greater peace of mind.

Solution

As a web agency, we developed a bespoke WordPress platform that brings the federation’s key administrative workflows together in a modern, user-friendly solution. With Freja eID for secure identification and a personal My Account area, digital competition cards could replace their physical counterparts. Event approval applications also moved online, while integration with Swedbank Pay made payments straightforward and secure.

The new platform allows organisers, doctors and administrators to share information securely, while collecting statistics automatically and minimising the risk of lost documents. Working with Pigment, the federation has taken a major step towards more efficient digital administration. Its modern website and digital solution ease the organisation’s workload, strengthen security and give members and visitors a secure, seamless experience.
